Solo exhibition 2010 - "Art-ificial Motion"

Form Janury 28th 2010 to March 31st, I am exhibiting eight works of abstract photographic art. More information about the exhibition and the location can be found here.

We live in a fast-moving world, often dazzled by the pace of life and by the man-made lights we use to brighten our cities. Seldom are we aware of the natural grace that can be distilled out of this cacophony of light. Photographic art, in its many forms, allows us to crystallize frenetic city night-life into flowing tableaux, giving us time to pause and contemplate an intrinsic beauty that is often too fleeting to be noticed.

Using the simplest of photographic techniques, these images capture the combination of artificial light and natural motion. Enhanced using digital imaging software, operating at the very basic level of the technology that gives the patient artist full control of each parameter, they express an ethereal (though not bereft of passion) world of imagination.
