Workflow

To give an idea of what goes on behind the scenes of a photo shoot, this chapter describes the "workflow" used in professional digital photography.

As in the "good old days" of film photography, digital work comprises two major steps: taking the photographs, then developing and printing the results. In this digital age, the final step of preparing an image and printing it is not often needed, as most images remain in digital form when delivered (though printing service is offered, of course). On the other hand, a digital photo-shoot yields very many more images, which requires more time in sorting and selecting.
